7 Day Safari Garden Route Tours

7 Day Garden Route tours are fully loaded with all the highlights found along The Garden Route, plus the inclusion of Oudtshoorn, Cape Agulhas and 2 nights around Addo National Park for an in-depth, malaria-free safari experience. This tour gives you all the highlights from beaches, to wildlife, semi-desert lands and forests. There are plenty of attractions and highlights to choose from to satisfy any type of traveller. Day 1
Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
- Leave
Cape Town at around 7am and head for Oudtshoorn in The Klein Karoo - The Ostrich Capital of the World.
- We take Route 62 and make a few interesting rest stops, including Ronnie's Sex Shop (it's not what you think!)
- We stop for lunch on a wine farm with a few tastings of their products (included).
- Guests can choose between a visit to the ancient Cango Caves OR Cango Wildlife Farm for close encounters with a wide variety of animals (included).
- We check into our accommodation where dinner is included tonight.
- Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
 

Day 2

Oudtshoorn to Tsitsikamma
- Today guests can choose between an Elephant Feeding experience OR Meerkat tour exploring a natural meerkat family wake up and prepare for the day (included).
- We enjoy breakfast at our accommodation and check out.
- Our journey takes us to an Ostrich Farm to enjoy a 45 minute guided tour into the mysterious world of ostriches and their habits (included).
- The road leads us over the majestic Outeniqua Mountains on our way to the forests of Tsitsikamma.
- We stop at the famous Bungy Jump bridge for a spectacular view, and an opportunity for the braver guests to jump (own account).
- We end the day in Stormsriver, Tsitsikamma where guests can enjoy dinner in your own time, for your own account.
- Overnight in Tsitsikamma

 
Day 3

Tsitsikamma to Addo
- We enjoy breakfast at our accommodation and check out.
- Guests have the option of ziplining through the forests of Tsitsikamma or visiting a wolf sanctuary to learn more of these mystical creatures (included).
- The road takes us to Addo National Park - the 3rd largest wildlife park in South Africa. Here we will stay for 2 nights in accommodation around the park.
- We
stop in The Park to enjoy lunch and drive around for a couple of hours in our tour vehicle (included).
- Tonight dinner is included at our accommodation.
- Overnight around Addo Park (1 of 2 nights)

 
Day 4

Spend the day in and around Addo
- We enjoy breakfast and make our way into Addo National Park for a 2 hour guided game drive in an open safari vehicle (included).
- After the game drive we will enjoy lunch in the park (included).
- In the early afternoon we will embark on our 2nd guided, open vehicle game drive for the day, followed by dinner in the park (included).
- Today we can try and spot animals like lions, rhinos, giraffes, elephants, warthogs, buffalo, many birds, zebra's, antelope and more!

- Overnight around Addo Park (2 of 2 nights)

 
Day 5
Addo to Knsyna
- After breakast we leave Addo and return to The Garden Route.
- Guests with a specific interest in wildlife viewing may request an extra, early morning sunrise game drive (own account).
- We stop for lunch in Tsitsikamma Park where we stretch the legs with a walk to the suspension bridge, or simply view the waves from a park bench. (included)
- Choose between a visit to Monkeyland or Birds of Eden - stroll through open forest sanctuaries dedicated to these creatures.
- At Plettenberg Bay we make a quick photostop at an elevated viewpoint over the town, its stunning beaches and the Garden Route surroundings.
- We arrive in Knysna and check into our accommodation to relax for the rest of the day.
- Guests have the option of including a boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon, offering bar and dining services.
- Enjoy dinner in your own time, for your own account.
- Overnight in Knysna
 
Day 6
Knysna to Cape Agulhas
- We enjoy breakfast at our accommodation and check out.
- The road takes us to Cape Agulhas, through the Overberg farm regions of South Africa where we find the South tip of Africa and meeting point of the Two Oceans.
- We make a photostop in the town of Wilderness to view its beaches and famous train bridge running over the waters at Dolphin Point.
- Our next stop is Mossel Bay where we visit the Dias Museum and the replica of his historical boat, plus the famous shoe-postbox (included).
- An optional Lion Walk can be arranged in Mossel Bay - A 1 hour guided walk alongside lions in a free-roaming environment.
- Our journey continues, passing towns like Swellendam and Albertinia - The Home of Aloe Products.
- In Cape Agulhas we visit the South tip of Africa with views of the famous Cape Agulhas lighthouse.
- Dinner is enjoyed at any of the nearby restaurants in guests' own time, and own account.
- Overnight in Cape Agulhas
 
Day 7
Cape Agulhas to Cape Town
- We enjoy breakfast at our accommodation and check out.
- The road takes us to Hermanus for free time, lunch, markets and seasonal whale watching from July to November (own account).
- Optional Whale Boat cruises can be requested in Hermanus between the months of July to November.
- Guests can choose between visitng an African Penguin colony OR a Cheetah facility for close-up views and encounters (optional interactions for your account)..
- We arrive back in Cape Town in the late afternoon and drop you off at your accommodation.
